About Sophie
Sophie is a passionate and dedicated advocate of finding joy in movement. She discovered the transformative power of the Pilates method ten years ago whilst on a physio-pilates based rehab program after major knee surgery. Sophie now strives to teach her clients not only how to move their bodies to prevent injury and support functional movement patterns, but also how to move with a powerful posture, grace and purpose. Through the integration of grounding breath work and intentional techniques.
Sophie guides her clients to tune in to their bodies on a deeper level promoting a moving meditation, and an overall sense of calm.
Sophie's classes are heavily inspired by the original Joseph Pilates 'Contrology' method which focuses on exercising the whole body (rather than spot training) and embodies 'movement as medicine’ and a way of life rather than just exercise.
Clients often report dramatic shifts in their body awareness, reduction of pain, increased mobility, agility and a renewed sense of confidence in their everyday movement.
